Rencana ini mencuat setelah Toyota Motor Thailand (TMT) resmi mengumumkan bakal kehadiran mobil listrik andalan bZ4X. Crossover listrik murni ini mulai dijual di Thailand tahun ini, disampaikan langsung oleh Presiden TMT Noriaki Yamashita, seperti dilansir Paultan.org, Kamis (27/1/2022).
“Tahun lalu, kami memperkenalkan Lexus UX 300e BEV dan Lexus NX450h+ PHEV. Untuk merek Toyota, bZ4X, model pertama dari keluarga bZ, akan diperkenalkan juga tahun ini,” ucap Yamashita.
Toyota bZ4X pertama kali meluncur Oktober 2021 lalu, di Thailand diprediksi baru mulai dipasarkan paruh kedua tahun ini. Opsi impor secara utuh bakal dilakukan alias dikirim CBU dari Jepang.
Terkait terpilihnya Indonesia sebagai Presidensi G20 tahun ini, pemerintah meminta seluruh elemen terkait, termasuk pihak swasta untuk ikut mendukung acara ini.
Konferensi Tingkat Tinggi (KTT) G20 rencananya mulai bergulir di Nusa Dua, Bali, November 2022.
Dari informasi yang diterima Kompas.com, pemerintah Indonesia meminta Toyota untuk menyiapkan mobil listrik khusus untuk mendukung kegiatan operasional acara. Pembicaraan tengah berlangsung saat ini di level kementerian terkait.
Rencananya, Toyota bakal memboyong bZ4X untuk acara ini. Jadi, selain Hyundai Genesis G80 Electric yang digunakan para pemimpin negara, Toyota bZ4X yang juga BEV akan digunakan para delegasi lain.
Tapi, Toyota sebenarnya sudah punya rencana memboyong bZ4X ini ke Indonesia tahun ini, meskipun tak ada G20.
“Saya belum bisa komen terkait bZ4X. Tapi, soal event G20 di Bali, kami tentu sangat senang jika bisa mendukung pemerintah, mengingat ini adalah kegiatan yang sangat penting untuk Indonesia,” ucap Henry Tanoto, Wakil Presiden TAM kepada Kompas.com, Jumat (28/1/2022).
Toyota bZ4X dibekali motor listrik bertenaga 204 Tk dan torsi puncak 265 Nm memanfaatkan baterai lithium-ion berkapasitas 71,4 kWh. Mobil listrik hasil kolaborasi dengan Subaru ini diklaim mampu melaju hingga 450 Km sekali baterai terisi penuh.
Ada dua varian yang dipasarkan, berpenggerak roda depan dan semua roda (all-wheel drive). Pada varian FWD bZ4X dibekali motor tunggal 150 kW, sedangkan varian AWD setiap poros tersedia motor 80 kW.
Toyota sudah mulai menjual bZ4X di beberapa negara Eropa dan Jepang, harganya mulai 41.950 poundsterling atau Rp 799 juta.
