We’re offering the Spider Spirit alumni discount

University of Richmond alumni who have earned an academic certificate, associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, post-bachelor’s certificate, graduate certificate, master’s degree or juris doctorate are eligible for an alumni discount, also known as the Spider Spirit alumni discount.

25% Tuition Discount

The Spider Spirit alumni discount offers University of Richmond alumni a 25% savings on tuition over the lifetime of a degree program when a member of the alumni enrolls in a degree or certificate program through the School of Professional & Continuing Studies. This 25% tuition discount is also applicable to individual courses taken for credit as a non-degree seeking student in SPCS.

Some Exclusions

The discount is applicable to tuition only and does not apply toward application fees, books, materials, and other supplies or fees needed for a course.
The discount may not be combined with other tuition discounts or reductions.
The discount is not applicable to earning a second bachelor’s degree or Summer School courses offered through the schools of Arts & Sciences, Business or Leadership Studies.
If a graduate earned a graduate certificate from UR, the discount cannot be used to complete a master’s degree in the same discipline or field of study.

Requesting the Discount

To request the Spider Spirit alumni discount, check the applicable box when completing your degree program application. Once requested, the discount will be automatically applied to your Student Account bill.

If you stop out for a couple of semesters and then request to re-enroll, the Spider Spirit alumni discount will remain in place, reflected in semesterly billing.
If you sit out for three or more semesters, you’ll need to re-apply to your program of study and select the Spider Spirit alumni discount again when completing the application.

Our graduate tuition is already competitive at just $721* per semester hour. With the Spider Spirit alumni discount, UR alumni can save an additional 25%. And at SPCS, we charge by the enrolled semester hour, so you only pay for the classes you’re taking. No activity fees. No technology fees. No facility fees. Just tuition.

Master of HR Management Degree

10 courses, 30 semester hours

Standard Tuition: $21,630 ($721 x 30 hours)

Post-Bachelor’s Certificate in Data Analytics

6 courses, 18 semester hours

Standard Tuition: $10,350 ($575 x 18 hours)

Eligible Programs of Study

The Spider Spirit alumni discount may be applied to our academic programs, albeit with the exclusions outlined above. To be admitted, you must meet all admission requirements for the program of your choice.

And regardless of the degree you earned at UR, if you want to take a single course as a non-degree seeking student, you can apply the Spider Spirit alumni discount to an individual class.
